How to enable javascript in your browser
To utilize many of the advanced features of the 1up clan website you should have JavaScript enabled. This page will show how to do this in many of the popular browsers in use today. If you are using a browser not listed below then you should look through the documentation for whatever browser you are using to learn how to enable JavaScript for that browser. If you are using a browser that does not have JavaScript support (ie. text based browser) then we recommend that you upgrade to a browser that does offer JavaScript support such as the latest version of firefox.
Mozilla Firefox
- Select Tools | Options... from the main menu.
- Select Content button from the top row of options.
- Select "Enable JavaScript."
- Click the "OK" button.
- Restart firefox if needed.
Internet Explorer
- Select Tools | Internet Options... menu item from the main menu.
- Change to the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up.
- From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the Internet icon.
- Select the button near the bottom that reads Custom Level.
- In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads Active Scripting.
- Select the option marked Enable. Press the "OK" button on each open window to finish.
- Restart internet explorer if needed.
Google Chrome
- On Windows/Linux: Select Options from the "Wrench" graphic icon menu on the upper/right side of the Google Chrome window.
- On Mac OS X: Select Preferences from the Chrome menu.
- Select the Under the Hood tab.
- Click the Content settings... button underneath the Privacy area.
- Select the JavaScript tab.
- Select "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" option.
- Restart chrome if needed.
Safari
- Select Preferences from the Safari menu (on Mac OS) or the Edit menu (on Windows).
- Select Security tab at the top.
- Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.
- Restart safari if needed.
Opera
Versions 8 & 9
- Select Tools | Quick Preferences ... from the main menu.
- Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.
- Restart opera if needed.
- Select File | Preferences... from the main menu.
- Click Multimedia.
- Under the JavaScript heading, select "Enable JavaScript."
- Restart opera if needed.
Konqueror
- Select File | Preferences... from the main menu.
- Click Multimedia.
- Under the JavaScript heading,select "Enable JavaScript."
- Restart Konqueror if needed.
AOL (version 7 and above)
- Select Preferences from the Settings menu.
- Click Internet Properties (WWW) under Organization.
- Click the Security tab.
- Check the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to locate Scripting.
- For Active Scripting click Enable.
- Click the "OK" button on all open dialogs to close them.
- Close the Preferences window.
- Restart aol if needed.
