Black Widow O_o

So yesterday my mom managed to catch a black widow then preceeded to give me this jar with it inside.

thats one thing i dont miss about living down south. opened my storage thing up here a couple months back and found a massive one in there by the door with an unhatched egg sac. needless to say thhere was some very minor fire damage to the plastic box it was against

Black widows are smart. You will want a better container for her. There's also no telling whether or not she has mated. Black widows are incredibly smart and every time you open the jar she will try to make some kind of move. When I had one she would always rush the lid of the box I had her in when feeding her. Still a beautiful pet.


I have a male black widow spider living above my door frame he has a web in the corner of the room. I figure we have an unspoken truce.

wow, america seems so deathly in a way, i'd prefer to sit back under my english rock.
Even though there are no "deadly" fauna here in the UK, the nearest we have are imprisoned in zoo's (nearest zoo being in Edinburgh about 100 miles from me). Good luck looking after it though.
