Bioshock: Infinite
« on: March 26, 2013, 08:23:01 PM »
In this post i will be writing in my impressions, as well as some choice screenshots for this game. So far, about 8 hours into it i find it to be an amazing game.

The game has a way about it, where the further you get, the grittier and dirtier everything gets. They way they do it is great though. You dont even realize its happening for a little while. Clothing on your partner gets a little more torn, and on normal people. Friends become enemies, enemies become friends and back again. The graphical detail in the game is amazing and the storyline is equally amazing. There are plot twists around every corner and as you also listen to the audio tapes you find, you find out more and more out about the world. I have yet to find any bugs or flaws of that nature with the game so far as well.

There is a horrible amount of racism in the game, which does not really feel personally offensive, but more helps the story and helps shape the world. More importantly if really makes you hate the people around you, and especialy the main guy you will be after, or at least running away from. At the same time it really makes you want to help the rebels, who are all minorities and lower class. its handled very well, and it helps that they took the whole religious fanatic thing and ran wild with it that just makes the world that much more interesting.

The story basically goes (no spoilers) that you are "told" to retrieve the girl to erase your debt. You start out as the player having no idea whats going on. One second you at a lighthouse, with some creepy talking people, the next your in the sky.... The whole thing takes place in the early 1900's so you have the technology looking like it, in a steampunk sort of way.....much like the original game. You play a man, and not some big daddy like before....infact, the storyline is totally different and has nothing to do with rapture or anyone from there. So as the story progresses, you get so engulfed in the story, constant suspense... You are constantly getting ambushed but in this game it doesnt get old. they handled it very well to keep the adrenaline going. The part i love the most is being able to slide around the sky on the tram rails. If you plan on getting this game at some point, you will NOT be wasting any money at all.

pictures to follow....basically the photos will all be RANDOM photos and will contain no spoilers. just different things i found interesting, and who knows what order they are in... also the graphics are better, i just have them turned down a little bit for performance purposes.

more to come.....maybe

Going to post right here for interesting things....

Music: the song "i gotta get away" played in "old time" style music
          a "rift" playing the actual song of "girls just wanna have fun".......keeping in mind this takes place in the early 1900's

Well, I did not play the game, but my step-son did.
For those that want to know how it ends, I leave you this.

I believe this game could become a movie, as some other video games have.

for sure. the only problem with that is that because of what it is, it would require one hell of a budget

G|Man, I do not think you missed anything, but you may have seen the movies and did not know they started as video games.  Such as;

Well, I have seen 99% of those movies.  Maybe this one will make a good movie as well as any other. Thanks for posting that long list, Cope. :P

of the list, Wing Commander is my favorite movie. some of the movies bombed, and then some did excellent, like silent hill and resident evil
