I have never heard of him, and "long time" has many meanings.

He means he's been friends with players on the No More Room In Hell servers, so that's why you haven't seen him seeing as I've never seen either of you on there.
I've seen him a few times and it's just vip he's applying for so I doubt the clan tags are a true issue, if so I will take the time to add him myself and ask him to correct it.
He doesn't seem to speak English from what I've seen of him but he isn't a bad player (troll or otherwise) far as I've been playing with him.
So I give him a +1 from what knowledge of him I do have.

There is no English-speaking-only requirement for the 1upZ Division.
We do not normally receive applications answered in a language other than English.
The App Staff are patient, thorough and diligent, so they'll do what it takes to get the application processed.

Well there has been another recent influx of non English speaking players on No More Room In Hell 1Upz servers again, so we might be having more of these.
In fact a few already posted ( which also have been accepted) have been from players I know who in fact cannot speak English without a translator.
This guy here just seems to not have taken that approach.
Still I only wish to help these players though, even if I cannot understand them for the most part.
So if action is needed for his application to be redone I can go and add him and ask him to do so.

I don't see a need for that, I was merely pointing out that it's just tacky to post an application to a clan with another clan's tags on our name. 1upZ does not have a multiclan restriction (although 1up full does) and under the way it's set up, it really doesn't matter what they put in the reason for joining field. They could literally leave it blank or write "Because I enjoy sacrificing virgin children to the pagan god Moloch and drinking their blood whist defiling their corpses afterwards" and we probably still wouldn't care.

However, this seems an appropriate time to point out 1upZ is intended to be a feeder group for 1up Clan. I am not recommending that we deny this application. (That would be both undeniably arbitrary and unfair, given our precedent)  However, it is worth noting that The entire point of 1upZ is to get new players involved with the clan and work them into the community. With that goal in mind, it doesn't seem at all unreasonable to expect that at least the applications are filled out in the same language that the clan speaks and have the decency to at least pretend to have a desire to be a part of *this* community over some other Venezuelan gaming group.

Like Ron said, there is no English-speaking-only requirement for the 1upZ Division. Its purpose being to spread the name of 1up and promote community and advertisement for the clan at the same time.

Whilst it would of course be beneficial to have all members speak the same language, that in itself should not be a deterrent for those wishing to join the more lax 1upZ subdivision.

I also like to think of 1upZ as a stepping stone to get to know the clan better and perhaps join as a full member at a later date, which has subsequently happened a decent amount of times now.

Thus, the application is ACCEPTED.
