lighting issue
« on: April 25, 2010, 09:54:02 PM »
I dont completely understand the lighting in GTKradiant. I had a map, and it was completely dark except where i had put lights. I had to fix something with the textures in the pk3, and now the whole thing is lit. does anyone know why?

Are you using a skybox because some skyboxes are scripted to emit light? Maybe your skybox wasn't showing up before and when you fiddled around with stuff it started working and therefore emitting light?

Did you compile with lighting. If you turn it off everything will be bright bright.

my lighting is on the fritz again. all i did was add a door leading to a sniper spot. i added this outside of the original walls, and used the same texture as the walls. now my whole stage is lit up and i dont know why :'( :'( :'(
