Custom map problems

Ok here is my problem.

Every time i try and join a server that uses a custom map that i don't have, a window pops up saying what to do to download it like it normally should. However if i try and download it the game locks up for about 2 seconds and a box pops up saying "Download error: Couldn't resolve host name"

I tried again in several different servers but none of them will let me download maps. I also tried downloading the maps from the internet but after i put them in the maps folder Urban Terror wont even stay open for more than a few seconds, and i have to remove the map to be able to play.

This issue popped up very suddenly too. I was playing in a server and it downloaded the map just fine but after it cycled the game crashed and when i re-opened it the problems started.

If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it.

Oh and by the way I'm running Mac OS 10.6.3

I have no idea about the first problem unless you went to alot of messed up servers
secondly if you said you put the pk3 in the maps folder you are doing it wrong
The pk3 goes in the q3ut4 folder so try that

Sorry about the miss type, I meant the q3ut4 folder. As for servers I've tried to download from, I've tried all of the 1up servers and some other fairly popular ones such as "wurst test serwer", and the zombie mode server.

As far as I know it's an OS problem dealing with your Mac. I think you should uninstall and reinstall... of course I didn't really look into it, it's just a theory.

Ok I reinstalled Urban terror and everything works fine. After it was all set up i put all of my custom maps back in the q3ut4 folder and it stopped working again so now i just need to put them back in a few at a time and figure out which of the files is causing issues.

Edit: Ok just went through them all. The problems where being caused by an incompletely downloaded .pk3 that was stuck in with the rest of the maps.

As a future suggestion, it seems like you are doing A-B, then C-D, etc for adding maps back. I suggest a binary search. Start big:
If one half doesn't give you error, it must be in another half.
Then you half that count, and do the same thing.

Problem with macs and pc's check through your q3ut4 folder thouroughly for a map that has tmp at the end if you find one delete it, cause this stops all maps including custom one from downloading or doing anything inside of you urt
