Knowledge base now open

The 1up knowledge base is now ready and open to the public. If you have questions about 1up or our policies / procedures, then this should be the first place to look. Articles will be added to the knowledge base as needed and will supersede any "related" articles found on other parts of the website. If the question you would like to ask is not currently in the knowledge base, then feel free to ask it on our forums instead.

All members are encouraged to direct users to the knowledge base whenever possible.

Looking real good Tesla. Nice work. This should answer many of the same questions we often get. Now I can make a general statement to others that they should 1st check the 1up Knowledge Base.

Thanks, if anyone finds any obvious mistakes or spelling errors in the Kbase then let me know so I can fix them asap. If you have a question that you feel should be added, let me know that as well.

That being said, most of you know that January is a busy month for me[1] so the kbase might not get updated as often as I would like. I am looking for a full-time kbase manager however, if anyone is interested let Ron know.

The Kbase manager would be responsible for.

• Adding new articles to the knowledge base when needed.
• Deleting old articles from the knowledge base  that are no longer relevant.
• Updating existing articles to make sure the information within them is always correct and up to date

I would like to add this to the KBase to answer questions about "rejoining" the clan:

Question: If I want to rejoin 1up will my prior playing hours and longevity count towards the minimum requirements to apply?

Answer: If a former 1up desires to reapply, then all prior playing hours and playing history will be deleted from player tracking, which will require the player to again obtain the minimum 30 hours playing time and 30 days longevity.

Proposal for an addition to the App. Process portion of the kbase:

Q: I've become a Trial Member, but I can do almost nothing! Why?

A: Being a trial member is like being on a Trial Account in a pay-to-play MMO game. You can't do anything cool, your level of respect is low and all the things you can apply for, you can't. We have the trial period to see if we think you'd make a good 1up Member. If we don't think so, that's why we have the status votes.

However, once you become a Full Member, you are able to access everything that any other Full Member can.

I get the idea of what you mean Powermad, but perhaps word it more carefully. "your level of respect is low" made me laugh! Also, don't reference pay-to-play, people might think we're after donations in return for higher rank.
