son of a ***** i just got a jury summons for the week prior to quakecon ... i'll be really pissed if it rolls into the next week.

I heard if you just show up late on it that they will just send you home. Like they don't need you because they have already chosen who they need. It has happen to both my parents.

I got jury duty once, they called me up and asked me some questions then took a break then someone came up to me cause I was all excited and smiling and stuff and they said I won the lottery. Then we got back in and then all the lawyers were cool with me except for 1 and they decided not to have me as a juror.

My advice, Smile.

Important things to note to get your jury duty over with very quickly, since you will be asked some basic questions:

1) You always believe that when the police charge someone with a crime that they are 99% guilty.

2) All big corporations should have to pay large judgments.

3) Most minorities are always secretly engaged in some type of crime.

4) I could never convict a person who is under 25 years old.

5) I have always wanted to have the deciding vote in a major case. I like the controversy.

6) I have the ability to look at a person and tell whether they are guilty without even having to listen to testimony. It is a gift. I am almost always correct, so I will just go with my gut instinct.

7) My religious views are most important than my legal views.
