i have not played this in a minute.....which makes me wonder if the server is even still up....dont have it even installed anymore since my last PC crash

The server is still up but I am waiting for version 1.7 before I start playing again.
It is running 1.5 but most people are playing 1.6.

That is the release that will be pushed by Steam instead of manual installs and such.
I have been waiting for that. Plus they got a lot of new animations and stuff on the way. I will see them at QuakeCon again this year and if it is not already released, then they might let us look at the beta.
