This is not an attack at all. It's a real question, based in intellectual curiosity. Do you really think that your hypothetical situation would work? Do you think that the gun violence in Chicago is an anomaly, and that a full, nationwide outlaw would result in a different outcome?
Don't reply if you don't want to, but I think that in an intelligent discussion, people should be able to answer questions like these. I contend that your ideal is incorrect, and I feel that I can back up my stance with proof of your idea failing in places where it's been tried, but maybe I'm wrong. Can you explain why your solution has historically failed in the USA and around the world?
