Exactly, assault rifles sole purpose is to inflict harm on other humans. Handguns are usually meant for defense and hunting rifles are just that, hunting rifles.

Picard, you argument is flawed.  Define defense.  When you defend yourself with a firearm, you shoot to kill.  Define hunt. Do you seriously think that because it might be called a hunting rifle, no one will ever use it to kill a human?  A gun is a gun.  Period.  If I wanted to inflict real damage from a distance, I would get a long-range hunting or sniper rifle.  If I wanted to inflict damage up close, I would use either a shotgun or a handgun.  If I were psycho enough to want to do damage in a crowd, I would use a shotgun and explosives (grenades, etc).  150 yards and closer would be the only time I would ever prefer using a small-calibre rifle (ie:assault rifle).

Guns are designed to kill.  Period.  With proper placement, any gun can kill with one shot.

Word to the wise, you will never win this Argument. As far as the WBC you just have to deal with the fact that there are people like that out there, Not much you can do about it unless you decide that their lives are worth your freedom.

I am talking about an arms war, not one incident in general. People die every day to poverty, hunger, Gang wars. I wont get all butthurt when I wasn't there and I Couldn't have done anything to stop them, it's unfortunate yeah but that is life you gotta take the good with the bad and focus on improving for everyone's sake not the individual which is all some of you are even concerned with.

Theory craft is just that, theory craft. I would answer with a combat strategy but that is just stupid. Why would anyone even consider taking this question seriously?
