Haha guys I made a topic about this back in september when I actually proposed. And EPOC, we have been together for about 4 years now so I think we are pretty safe from rushing it lol. But even so, it will be almost a year long engagement as well, a little less than 7 months left.
Anyway for those that care, the university we both go to was having a canoeing trip up near Nashville, Tennessee. I told her we were going on that trip and that is what she expected right up until we showed up in the middle of nowhere. At which point I revealed we were in fact not going on the canoe trip but were instead going sky diving. Needless to say she was surprised. So everyone involved from the pilot to the other jumpers was in on it. We got up in the air 14,500 ft. and I was the first one out of the plane; she was last. Though that was still less than a minute later than I. In order to get me down to the ground quickly enough to get ready as soon as we pulled the shoot after 2 miles of free falling we corkscrewed the last mile or so to the ground. When I got on the ground, while trying not to vomit, I made my way over to where she was going to land, got the ring out and proposed right after she hit the ground. Obviously she said yes. So that is my story.
