ut4_kingdom wallhack Bug

Try deleting the map file and it shoukd autodownload next time it comes up while you are playing. See if that fixes it.

Ok I tried this,
I deleted the map and went to a server, expecting it would say "download ut4_kingdom", but it connected me directly to kingdom and I could play – without any change

odds are then that you deleted the wrong file. you may have 2 installations of UrT on your computer or something....seriously...re-install. I guarantee you that your going to be sitting here all night trying to figure this thing out instead of spending the short amount of time to re-install...but eh....what do I know about computers? lol



edit: I don't think I have to mention to uninstall the old one first do I?

I assume you know as much as a 5 year old girl about computers no but seriously, if nothing will work I will have to try the re-installing thing too, but as I say it costs a lot of time

No nothing solved, but I already spoke with sniper he said he could find a solution for this.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons why Sander should get a Windows.

This is one of the reasons I should live in germany, with a good internet connection that allows me to download UrT in less than 4 hours... just sayin

that's why you should always keep a backup of your install file.....which you prolly do. have you checked your downloads folder?

Downloaded it 2 months ago, and this is not my computer so ofc the download folder is empty

Backup custom map, qkey, q3config, etc. if you want and reinstall.  Fast, easy solution.

INB4 Cope.  With Linux you don't install or uninstall UrT you just have have a folder you unzip and launch the binary program.

No, I was not even thinking of stating such a thing regarding Linux.  However, I would suggest you make a demo to help us understand what issues you are having with the map.

I have seen many strange occurrences of different games, and this one reminds me of an issue I had when I played America's Army, and one of my two video cards died.  It was strange that I could see though walls, floors and practically everything, it was all wire mesh and fractions of actual texture.  The properties of the game were the same, but looking through everything made the game hard to navigate.  I took screenshots, but the the screenshots looked fine.  I even took video, but the video also looked fine.

During game however, mostly everything was transparent with wire borders.  It was not until a week later I figured out the video card issue.

I am not saying it is your video card, or some installed hack, but whatever your case, hopefully you can get it resolved.

Just do what j2 said. There's all kinds of versions of kingdom. Delete every map file of kingdom you have and let it auto download. You shouldn't have to reinstall urt if its just this map giving you problems.

Since I am using this computer here, so two months. The weird Thing is that I had a practice once, we were playing kingdom and at this point the Bug didnt exist yet.

Ok, so I've got two versions of kingdom. One of them is "ut4_kingdom" and the other one is "ut4_kingdom_rc6".

As you can (hopefully) see in demo one ocurrs the wh, and in demo two nothing. The solution "delete the map and let it autodownload" doesn`t work, because you can't find the map "ut4_kingdom" in any folder to delete it. There is only kingdom_rc6, which doesn't contain bug.
For now, I won't re-install UrT, because there are things that will get lost. I thought maybe anyone knew an easy solution  for this, but it seems like it is everything else than easy to fix this bug. I will have to live with this problem, which is actually not a big problem cuz I don't play kingdom that often.

I'm sorry you've had to come to this solution. There is a soultion for you somewhere.

I'm writing this to let you know that I have a problem with the map ut4_kingdom. I have no idea why, but I can see through all the walls and that makes it of course unfair to play for the others-
I don't want to be accused for Wallhack or get reported from someone, so when the map comes I always need to switch to spectator or disconnect.
If anyone knows a solution for this, please let me know.

this is a problem for Mac which was never really fixed. Don't waste your time deleting the default map that comes with the game. There was a PK 3 released with some different textures that might change it but it didn't work on all Macs.
