This is just a general feel good and discussion topic.
So who are you really and what's the reason behind past and present usernames

So ill start
Most of you know i am Rob and only active British 1up (woot) from Newcastle upon tyne. (Up north)
I dont even remember where Fusion came from i just liked the word and stuck with it.

Before that some of you may knew i had a different name which came about through a variant of a video game character.

Just though to add some old sigs i found, i just love copes so much though :D

well.... in school we used to have a yomomma clan in urban terror. It started when my teacher(sucked at teaching) started turning around during her power points we had everyone in the room yell out yomomma(one at a time). I started using the name yomomma in urban terror at school. Sadly my best friend moved the next year the clan broke up and thats how i kept it :)

It all began with fire.......

No this not some earth theory or something weird, just the first thing I liked.

To explain at the time I had two siblings (an older sister and a younger brother) so when we all ended up getting a pokemon Gen 1 game we all decided to choose different starters by age, my sister chose squirtle, and I preferred charmander over bulbasaur (Who would pick the bulb over the fire-breathing dragon?)

So I started with the name Flame since it is the noun that I use for fire, and if Flame is took I used Flamefire (Just re-added the word) but then in some places that name was stolen so I added 3 three times.
Why 3? Well because:
  • Fire is red
  • My pool table's solid red ball is the number 3

That explains my username (flamefire333) and my name (Flame)

for the popular ones.....

Cr33pah - no idea exactly why....but the "ah" is because of the boston accent
De.Bug - goes from a "job" i had at the time. a handle so to speak
FinestHops - i got the idea from a beer commercial where their phrase was "We have the finest hops in the world" hence the name was born
Evil Chipmunk - saw a picture that i currently use as my steam avatar...hence the name
Evil Cupmunk - Comes from the last name, but back when i owned a could of SGCs L4D2 servers i mistyped the server name in the configs because i was drunk. and the name was born
Slenderman - naturally i like the games. but i can relate to him and my gaming style. He is relentless. He will find you, and he will kill you. you dont escape the slenderman, you just live a little longer than expected.

It was 1996 when I created my first email account.  I did not even have a computer at the time, but I did have access to them.
The email account I was attempting to make was from HoTMaiL (It was intentionally spelled with the HTML as caps since it was an online email provider) .  You may think Hotmail is a terrible email service, but at the time it was not acquired by Microsoft until a year or so later.  It was actually extremely secure, no advertisements and what not.

Well anyhow, at the time I used a tobacco product called Copenhagen snuff.  The first thing I thought of for my email address was copenhagen@ hotmail.com and so I attempted to create it.  Hotmail stated that email was not available, and I needed to use another name.  I then tried copenhagen55@ hotmail.com because my love for the 55 Nomad.

Apparently copenhagen55@ hotmail.com was also already taken, and Hotmail suggested copenhagen56@ hotmail.com, or for me to use my real name which I registered to hotmail with.  Oddly enough I used Joe Friend as my real name. :D  Which is not my real name, so I decided on copenhagen57@ hotmail.com because of the iconic 57 Chevrolet.

I shortened the email name, and made it my online user name, and I have not changed it since, except in some instances which Cope57 was already used in some instant messengers.

I did end up getting Google email when it was an early beta version, and one could only get an email for their google accounts by an invitation from Google itself.  I asked for an invitation by my HoTMaiL account, and then I set up my cope57@ google.com account.  The more one used the email, the more email invitations one could send out to friends and whomever.  Eventually Google did change the beta email service to gmail and I got to keep my user name with it.

There you have it, my user name Cope57 and history of it.

4 years ago I was thinking about a "cool" Username for playing fps Games. The result was "crowdkiller" (dont judge me :D )
When the Apple application called gamecenter came out, I invented the name "sanderbigone" .
1 Year ago when I started playing more I was using those two names all the time, But i decided to go with sanderbigone. I also wanted to have a name that is more similar to my real name. But once I tried to use colors with the Long name sanderbigone, UrT Cut Off the last four letters or so. From the I decided make the Name Shorter so that it worked with the colors. And that was when Sander was actually invented.
To make my name so unique and incredibly Super cool, I added ''', so the result was Sander'''.
When my admission vote was going, I took away the ''' for Case that I Would join.
I am not really Proud of any of those names from the past, but I
Think Sander is ok.

I like that Fusion has created this topic, I mean it's fun to Post about things like that.

One of my professors in college liked to use stories in teaching his lessons. Most of the time he used Henry Whistlebritches as the main characters name regardless of the story. I liked the name and originally came in as H. Whistlebritches. Once I got trial in 1up I had too many characters for the tag to fit so I shortened it to simply Whistlebritches. At the time Pyrite was a 1up and a good friend of mine, he suggested just taking it down to Whistle which I did. After a few months of being a full member it became clear that I was the rightful King of 1up so I almost out of necessity changed my name to KingWhistle. Thus your King was lifted up.

P.S. I feel like Cell is trying to seduce the clan with his shirtless flex pic.

I don't really have a cool story or anything for mine. I've been using Pyrite as long as I've been using computers (mid-late 80's). I probably chose it because it implies something that is fake, and I didn't want to use my real name when logging into Bulletin Board Systems, and yes, I had some very high phone bills at the time, and my parent's idea of grounding me was disconnecting my line. Some variations in the past were Lord Pyrite or Sgt. Pyrite. It has still stuck with me over the decades. I guess I've honestly never felt the need to change it, which is kinda nice, means I chose wisely the first time around ;)
