I'd just say with the sheer popularity its getting if it was release on pc it would be highly susceptible to mods (take skyrim for example) and that would take alot of money away from from the ps4 and xbox one, which sony and microsoft would be very unhappy about, its the same with gta v

not really. i mean, look at how much money skyrim made on console. It made a TON. and the mods are seriously just a small part in someone deciding if they buy it on PC or not. Most people who buy a game on PC rather than a console is usually because they either dont have a console, or prefer that type of game on PC. If it sells on PS3, Xbox or PC, they get money either way. Infact, if they allow digital downloads provided by themselves, they actually make alot more money because they cut out the middle man really.

the new final fantasy MMO did that and they have been quoted as saying that offering the digital download was a great decision as it boosted their projected sales since they didnt have any costs for packaging.

I am tempted to get a PS3 again though. There are just so many games that i would love to own again for it, as well as some coming out now. Though to buy it on the eve of the PS4....i know i would hate myself because as i would buy one again they would end up stopping production on PS3 games.....

valid point though, i do agree with you though that as soon as the ps4 comes out all ps3 games production will stop.

I know, that does annoy me though as so many top quality games arnt released for pc
