Do we want to follow a physical training routine to promote healthy gaming at 1up practices?

Absolutely, just like MrWiggles said in the first post.
Hells to the no. I will have no part in this tomfoolery.
Sure, but let's adjust the routine first. [please detail alternative in comments]
I think I would need to start with an easier version and then work up to the heavy metal.

Gamer fitness regimen
« on: August 21, 2014, 11:13:36 PM »
In high school, I would often spend almost entire weekends doing nothing but gaming, which would result in everyone feeling like a fat slob with a mind of mush by the end. To combat this, my gaming buddies and I began a gamers' training regimen of sorts. After every loss (or death, if we were feeling really crazy) we would draw a card from a standard poker deck. The number value on the card (2 thru 10 , 11 for jack thru 14 for Ace) was the number of push-ups owed and the suit determined the type, i.e. Clubs for fist push-ups, Spades for triceps push-ups, Diamonds for diamond push-ups, Heart for standard or whatever you want. If we were too tired/weakened from too many push-ups we could do sit-ups instead at some agreed-upon exchange rate.

I weigh 500 pounds. I don't think I can move, and I totally don't work for a Skating Rink and burn thousands of calories per day.

With that being said, I'm not going to get up and workout for practice. Lmao, nobody will want to...haha - Sorry to burst your bubble, but feh.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened there. My computer was being really spastic last night.

Gman that's nice, but some of us work at a desk. I know this may not be a one-size-fits-all solution, and maybe I am the only one that likes the idea of a little exercise while gaming. But I can't help but feel that I can't be the only one that would be more likely to do the workouts I should already be doing if there were someone else doing with me and reminding me to do them. At least for me, I gained a bit over ten pounds and increased by about 4% body fat since May, and I don't expect to make it to the gym much more often than I did before.

No problem, it's just the click of the button the only annoying thing was when it asked me if I wanted to keep the poll from "Gamer fitness regimen" or "Gamer fitness regimen".

I march :P I am not in shape, but not out of shape either (by that I mean it would probably be beneficial for me to gain pounds, not lose them). Overall I weigh about 105 pounds.

Call me crazy but I prefer calisthenics to weight training. I find calisthenics to be more stimulating and more natural, as well as just all-around more satisfying. Apparently I am alone in my preference though. :(

I used to only run and it felt so good, you get like a high when you finish running. I started working out and sorta got away from all the aerobic stuff ive been thinking about going back but the amount of foods and protein i would have to consume to keep up my muscle and body fat percentage is a little to high.

No, I just thought it would be fun to have the losing team pull a card and do push-ups as punishment for sucking. It keeps the blood flowing and encourages higher team performance.
