Strange update

Here is what my game looks like while playing the game now.



Seems the game updated, and gave me some strange new features.  To bad it was not in a good way. 

I will still attempt to play while I figure out what they broke.

You should verify the integrity of your game cache. Something probably downloaded/installed incorrectly, and Steam will locate the missing portion or file that is regarding your problem.

Works for me every time that a patch or update doesn't work for me.

I noticed that one person claims to have found a fix (see Response #29) (http://steamcommunity.com/app/222880/discussions/1/350543951938710892/?ctp=2#c350544272210053520):

"With the command mat_hbao 1 and mat_hbao 0 i can enable and disable the chessboard overlay."

Checkered flag.   Even if you lose, you still feel like a winner.

Not exactly a fix, but a work around for users.  A fix would be a patch to the game to fix the problem they created.
