Here is some food for thought.
Back before they started rewriting the history books and the definitions of words, to conform to the changing societal desires and trends, what you are referring to was called bigotry and not racism.
Racist: The idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
Bigot: Strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.
One could conceivably be a bigot and not a racist.
But my main point here is that it is
your generation that has to make these changes and not those of my generation and older. We are no longer able to influence this younger generation, in general and with few exceptions, because we are looked upon by this younger generation as having screwed everything up anyway!
