ok i keep on trying to watch some demos that other people posted and it wont let me because it says its not supported....

......................FAIL well i am guessing you arent using Uran Terror to watch a demo get the demo place it in your demos folder in your q3ut4 and go in game in start menu click demos then find the demo you placed

Note i usualy rename important demos so they are easier to find

***FREE ONLINE GUIDE TO WATCHING DEMOS***

STEP ONE:

Navigate like this:
UrbanTerrorFolder > q3ut4 > Demos

STEP TWO:

Download the demo and place it into your Demos folder.

STEP THREE:

Open Urban Terror and go to 'Demos' on the Main Menu.

OPTIONAL:

If you can't find your demo in the Demo screen, go to it manually.
In the Console, type:
/demo (Full Name Of Demo, No Brackets)

Are you using linux by any chance? I know there is a problem where the demos name is case sensitive. I just usually rename them to 1.dm_68 or something like that.

The greatest console feature of all time is the tab key, Which will fill things in for you if you forget the full name. You can use this when typing a demo as well, I rarely type out any command in full. So say demo is frackin192830
/demo frac (Tab)
Fills it right in if there is more than 2 files with that name it lists each.

tab also puts the slash in for you if you forget it. I never type /

well i open the demos from the demo option in the menu and it doesnt ever work unless its a demo i recorded

So are you putting the new demo in the same folder as the ones you recorded yourself? If they arent there, Thats not where your UrT is reading from.

The dang Mitsu builds of UrT put my Demos in some WACKY place with crazy names, Did not work out for me anyway so im back to the regular .exe

That happens to me sometimes, have you tried demos from different people. To see if its just one persons UrT in particular thats creating an incompatible demo?

idr, its usually just hacker demos. i also couldnt play the video of whoever was on the buildings in abby (idr who it was haha)
