Here is a preview of a "map in progress" for the 1up Zombie Challenge server, called Compound.
This map encourages Blue Team (Survivors) to spread out and cover each other more than usual. This will cause the zombie players to work together more and attack from multiple angles.
The map features 5 Control Points that Close Gates while a Blue player is standing on or near them. The Gates can be wall jump-climbed over but this will only allow upto 2 zombies at a time to cross a single fence, slowing down the assault. Skilled players can use the outside wall supports to make a 3 point wall jump that will allow them to cross the fence giving them quick access to more places in the compound. However the electric fence will give them quite a jolt causing them to suffer a little damage as a result. Also the sound of their pain may alert Blue players to their ascent over the wall.
As zombie players kill off Blue team survivors, the gates will come down and allow more players through at a time.
Therefore, It is very important for the Blue team to maintain a presence at all Control points in the map. This can become difficult as players will have a need for ammo at times which can be found In the center of the compound.
Leaving a control point will shut the gate associated with it.
Control points are oriented in such a way as to provide the most cover for other control points, more than for themselves. This emphasizes cooperative team-play to maintain a successful defense.
One special Control point causes A tower to be raised which allows for several players to be fully removed from possible attack. However, like a gate, if the control point is compromised, this tower will lower down slowly to the waiting zombie horde at the bottom.
