I have completed the 1up Bot Pack and will upload it to the 1up Fun Server.

Enter bot names to add a bot, such as: /addbot [botname]

There are two configs to make adding bots easier.

1)
Type "/exec clanbot.cfg" (or remotely you type "/rcon exec clanbot.cfg") to get the following bots: 2girls[1up], Boston[1up], Jammin[1up] and Links[1up].

2)
Type "/exec 8bot.cfg" (or remotely you type "/rcon exec 8bot.cfg") to get the following bots: 9Wives, Jenny, JPXsukx, Jsbjr, Moogoo, Ohplease, Pearlneck and Piss-Off

Ya, when the chat function is running, I edited certain keywords to provide interesting replies. For example, the word "lava" produces a nice little chat reply. I will have it uploaded tonight. They will be running on 1up Fun this evening when needed of course.

Only works in FFA on the 1up FFA server.

type "lava"
then again type "lava",
then again type "lava"

The bots will respond to it unless they are on a mission. Sometimes you have to do it a few times, but it works. Now, I could also make bots talk on Fun and CTF, but it would pull too much resources because I would be using developer testr and testi chat modes.

Just been testing your bot pack on my private server.

The bots play well but none of them seem to be using female characters.

Any idea why?

John,

It is because you do not have the cvars to force bots to female or to use funstuff. You need to modify some aspects of your server that require programming knowledge.

I'd really like to run a female bot on my own server (the AZLCMB1 bot server /connect 86.17.6.41)

Any help or advice you could give would be greatly appreciated, though I understand if you've not got time.

All you need is to be able to force changes to a user/info string. Once you have that you can change anything that is in the user/info string. Now if you program then you should know what to do at this point. If not, then find a coder who can give you 3 or 4 hours time.

Thanks RonaldLee, I've seen the userinfo string mentioned in a few source files.

I can probably add a cvar that can be used to populate this, or parts of this. I notice it carries the ip and name of the client (or bot I presume).

I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi RonaldLee

Thought you might like to know, I got it working. I initially applied the forcevar patch which works but decided that I'd rather extend the addbot function so I can now specify funred/blue and model numbers when I add the bots. I can even add fake guids and specify a ping range (eg. 60-90).

I'm working on fixing some of the "missing" features of bots, currently trying to get them to heal as a goal.
