There is some information out there that deserves to be known, but classified documents?  No.  Many classified documents contain critical information that's secrecy is vital to our national security.  Has everyone forgotten that we are in a time of war?  The USA and our allies have military operations going on around the world, and in case you haven't noticed, many of the extremist groups we are engaging in combat have an intense desire to destroy us.  Look at the terror attacks here, in the UK, and elsewhere.  Think how many more such attacks would have occurred had our safeguards been explained for the world to see.

I could go on and on.  As I said, certain things happen with governments that are on the shady side and need to be exposed.  But much of that information can be discovered WITHOUT the theft of classified material.  The sources of these documents need to be locked away indefinitely.  Such a breech of security is inexcusable.

As far as the Wikileaks founder, unless he's doing the actual stealing of the documents, I don't think he's that much of a problem.  I believe that people in government are giving him the information, rather than him hacking into a network or breaking into a building and taking it.  This puts him lower on my hitlist than those officials.

Couldn't have said it better.  Like the cable-leaks they got regarding the sex-trade with that DynCorp company in Afghanistan.  Its not classified information, its just gross. Being that most of their funding comes from US taxpayers, I think we have a right to know.  But breaching national security.. Well.. You said it well the first time, so I'll not touch on it again.

I agree partially in regard to the founder, but nonetheless, hes a total creep, and whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
