Map: Temples1up

I started this map about 1 month ago, but only worked on it now for about 15 hours in total. Each of the castles will be completely decorated inside and outside. It is just a very rough sketch of how this CTF, TDM map will look. The outside walls will not be seen (mountains for sky boxes will be what you see, not the brown walls) and I will add terrain that is uneven as well as flat in some areas. I was also going to add jump pads in a few places and I even considered some teleporters. I also considered adding medic stations where you can go up to it, push a button and fully med yourself.

What is most interesting about this map, is that you get to watch how bots swim, get out of the water and jump back in to grab weapons and then jump out and fight again. After I put together a pk3 file you will be able to view a short demo. Also, I need someone to help make 1up flags, 1up banners (red and blue) and all kinds of 1up signs, posters and stuff.

A few screen shots are attached.

EDIT: I will have to pack a pk3 for this or the demo can't be viewed. Sorry.

yeah i went through all this trouble to find my demos folder and then it wont even work. its horrible.

Remember that the castle towers are not even built yet. I just threw some cones up top to give me an idea of what I would do. And the outer walls are not going to be there either, just nice scenes.

as for the screenies, it looks nice ron, the castles look great, but maybe the centre area has too much space, just a few obstacles where you can hide or med. Lets say there are three snipers in one castle, the other team has to get their flag but the area doesnt allow them to hide that much and requires them to run a big distance in the open. For a good sniper its no problem to pick them out piece by piece, so maybe you should add a small building at the left or right in the centre area and at the other left/right some obstacles. Just a suggestion Ron, But it looks nice!

Just go here and open a stairs .map file from a tutorial, cut and paste the stairs into your map file and then resize and line of textures. Or you could read the tutorial and do it yourself with the two-brush technique: http://www.map-craft.com/modules.php?name=Tutoriaux

I am thinking of adding a few walled runways with hedges and stuff. I also grabbed up some mushrooms and plant packs for better scenes. Perhaps I will put two structures in between as well. Thanks for the input.
