Macintosh Vs Windows

I know you are all gamers so you all probably support Windows

but I'd LOVE to hear arguments for either side. Even linux if that is your favy!

I'm a mac user.

Popular arguments I've heard:

$$$: Windows can be WAY cheaper
Viruses: Although they do exist for Mac, there are many more for windows
Compatibility: Mac isn't compatible with windows users which is "90% of computer users" [made up statistic]
Gamers: Many more games for windows

In my experience Mac is easier to set up and use. That is why I like mac better.

I know very little about computers. I would love to hear arguments with reasons.

If you accept the issues that come from using a new operating system, linux is the way to go. Almost everything is available if you have the time. And it is 100% free, which was the major factor in my conversion.

mac all the way.. wayy better. Just some games you cant download unless you get bootcamp

I use Windows XP Pro. I have used a few different versions of Linux, and messed around on OSX.
I like the feel of OSX and Fedore Core, but I like the familiarality of XP. Also, I've been using XP for so long that it is tweaked out to run very smoothly, and I never have any virus issues because I download all my p0rn from the same trusted site everytime. LOL

im a mac user windows are cheeper but the ones you buy for cheep need upgrading and buying the parts to upgrade them would make up for how much cheeper they are then mac. Mac can run windows programs with boot camp and mac again has very little viruses. Also i just like the feel of a mac to me there more user friendly then a windows

Yeah. See, that's kinda why I like Windows. If I ever have an issue, I can usually figure out how to fix it, and there are several posts online about the same issue because other people have had it. Plus most of the SnK's (at least the guys) are OS Tweaking/Fixing Gurus.

That's one of the reasons why I've been running Linux almost exclusively since 1994.  And it makes a great programming platform! 

The only real gaming problem is that there's no Ventrillo client for it.  I always get a kick out of clans requiring Vent for a game that supports more than two OSs (that's not a dig, just a statement).

I Play on the Imac, its totally great when it comes to working, and it runs really well. The bad part is some programs are exclusively for windows. I have to bootcamp to play LFD2, MW2 etc, and windows is more common. Mac has very few known viruses. Compared to windows though, Mac isnt a great comp for gameplay.

I play mostly on XP, but will play using Linux if I'm too lazy to boot into windows.

I hate the fact that you have to bootcamp a mac to play games like L4D, So XP Ftw!
